Flood Cut Drywall Repair in a Water-Damaged Basement

Basement water damage repair in Saint Paul, MNDealing with a flooded basement is stressful enough without a contractor who leaves a mess or stops showing up. We keep these jobs clean, careful, and moving. This finished basement had taken on water, so the bottom section of drywall had to go. That's a standard flood cut: remove the damaged material, give the space time to dry out completely, then rebuild. It sounds simple, but skipping steps is how mold problems start. Once everything was dry, we patched and repaired the walls from the cut line up and blended the new drywall into the existing finish. The wall-mounted TV stayed protected the entire time. Protecting the homeowner's things is part of the job, not an afterthought. The result is a basement with solid, clean walls that's ready for whatever comes next, whether that's paint, new flooring, or a full basement finish. Water damage repair and basement finishing go hand in hand, and we handle both.

Kilo, Our Jobsite Supervisor, Signs Off on Another Punch List

Drywall and flooring finish work done right in Minneapolis, MNEvery crew needs someone who never takes a day off. Ours happens to have four legs. Kilo rides along to our jobs, parks himself in the middle of the tools, and keeps an eye on the crew while we work. This job was all about the finish line: drywall touch-ups and wrapping up a flooring installation. Punch list work is where a lot of contractors start rushing, because the big pieces are done and the end is in sight. We don't. The last few details are what make a room actually feel finished, so they get the same attention as everything before them. That's what a normal day looks like for us around the Twin Cities. The truck is loaded, the tools are ready, and the crew cares about the small items as much as the big ones. If you've had a contractor disappear before the job was really done, that won't happen here. We stay on it until the punch list is empty. Kilo makes sure of it.
