Altitude Construction
A Backyard You Actually Use
A patio turns unused yard into another room of the house. We build them to sit level and drain properly for decades, in the material and pattern that suits how you plan to use the space.
Built to Sit Flat for Decades
Most patio problems start underneath. We dig and compact a proper base and plan where the water goes before a single stone is set, which is what keeps a patio from cracking, settling, or heaving through New Jersey freeze-thaw winters and heavy summer storms.
Warranties in Writing
The materials carry a 25-year warranty and our labor carries a one-year warranty. If something isn't right, you have it on paper, not on a handshake.
Your Pick of Material and Pattern
Poured concrete, pavers, natural stone, or a stamped finish that reads like stone for less. Each comes in a range of colors, textures, and layouts. We'll lay out options against your house and your budget before anything gets ordered.
Done in One to Two Weeks
Most patios take five to ten days, depending on size and how complex the layout is. The same crew handles excavation, base prep, leveling, and the finish work, and you'll know what's happening on each day they're on site.
Money Back at Resale
A patio is one of the better-returning outdoor projects: it adds usable square footage, needs very little upkeep, and shows well from the street. Industry estimates put the return at up to 70% of what you spend, recovered in property value.
Veteran-Owned and Family-Run
Altitude Construction is veteran-owned and family-operated. You deal with the people whose name is on the truck, from the first walkthrough to the last stone.
Our process
Our Patio Installation Process
Four steps, from the first walk around the backyard to the follow-up call after the patio is finished.
-
Step 01
Consultation and Design
We meet you out back to hear what you want the space to do, then build a design and a detailed cost estimate around it — pavers, natural stone or concrete, whichever suits the house and the way you'll use it.
-
Step 02
Scheduling and Material Selection
We settle the materials with you and book the install for a stretch that works around your calendar. Every stage gets planned ahead, which is what keeps the job on its budget and on its dates.
-
Step 03
Installation and Quality Assurance
Our crew handles the whole build, from excavation and base prep through to the final leveling. Once it's down we run a full quality check and walk the finished patio with you.
-
Step 04
Follow-up and Support
We check back after the job to make sure the patio is doing what you wanted it to, and we stay on the end of the phone for questions or upkeep advice down the line.
Common questions
Patio Installation FAQs
The questions that come up most often before a patio job starts.
How Long Does a Patio Installation Take?
Two to seven days for most projects. Where yours falls in that range comes down to the size of the space and how involved the design is.
Do You Offer Custom Patio Designs?
Yes, and it's most of what we do. The patio gets built around how you actually plan to use the space and what the house already looks like, rather than off a standard plan.
What Materials Do You Use?
Concrete, pavers and natural stone, in a wide range of colors, patterns and finishes. We'll go through the options with you and land on something that both holds up and suits the property.
Is Financing Available for Patio Projects?
Yes. There are flexible financing options, so the patio you want doesn't have to wait on the full amount being on hand.
What Is the Payment Structure?
It splits into three: a deposit to book the job, a second payment on the first day of labor, and the balance once the patio is finished.
Do You Provide Warranties?
We do — a year on our labor, and material that carries a 25-year warranty behind it.

A little bit about us
Sixty years in business, and we still handle the whole job ourselves — design, installation and the upkeep that keeps it looking right years later. Our crew has worked properties all over the area, and we treat every yard the way we'd treat one on our own street.
We build with durable, low-waste materials wherever we can, and we'd rather take an extra day than hand back work we aren't proud of. We're glad to be part of this community, and we'd like to earn a spot on your property.
